The Herald Journal is at it again! The Herald Journal is back doing what they do the best! The Herald Journal is a one sided, political, left wing, anti religious news paper in a town of 80% conservative thinking people!

The latest thing they have done (besides propagating all of the hype and garbage that the Bear River Health Department dishes out about the air quality) is to yet again undermine the War on Terror by giving the local Anti-War people a front page writeup on the Sunday, 3/19/06 edition of the Herald Journal.

When was the last time they wrote anything positive about all of the good that has been accomplished over there? Every time a soldier speaks or comes home, they have so many good experiences to share. The media (like the Herald Journal) will only listen to the very few soldiers or people like Cindy Sheehan who have (have a political agenda or score to settle) negative things to talk about.

We have helped a country to become a better place which makes it harder for the terrorists to function. I along with many other Americans would rather take the War over there than have another 9/11 here!

I can't believe how very little common sense people use when it comes to this issue. It is clearly without substance. When it comes down to it, it's more about hating “Bush”, an insult they like to call him.

We have to finish what the terrorists started over there or we will be hit again. President Bush along with the rest of us Americans didn't start this war. None of us want to be over in Iraq just to have a War. Lets remember this fact, the Terrorists started this war. The terrorists are the reason why we are in Iraq and may have to go into other countries in the future. We will not stop until all Terrorists are captured and killed. If we do not follow through with this war and get so stupid as to pack up and call it quits, we could very well face another 9/11, Heaven forbid!

Lets also not forget another thing, if you call my President a Liar as a small handful of the wonderful citizens of Cache Valley have done(Democrats), I will also make dang good and sure that John Kerry along with a majority of the Democrats are labeled as liars as well. They (the Democrats) stood up in congress and gave all these big passion felt (political driven) speeches about how dangerous Iraq was and how Iraq was a key battleground in the War on Terror. They helped make the case as did the President. They voted to give the President the OK. Congress should have done their duty and declare war. Nevertheless, a majority of Democrats in the congress saw the same intel. as the president and made a decision to go to war based upon that intel. They looked at it and saw a threat to this Nation. You can argue that the president made a bad decision all you want. The fact is, the President and the Democrats made a decision based upon flawed intel. Now that we find that the intel. was not fully accurate, the Democrats and other peace crazed people want to cut and run and call the President a Liar. You don't have me fooled! Even thought the intel. was flawed, the President fulfilled his duty to protect us upon the best of his ability. The decision to go into Iraq was still the right decision. As citizens, we would do well to not accept defeat as the French so frequently do and see this through to the end. Under President Clinton, it was US policy to get rid of Saddam by what ever means necessary! Our military have a better attitude toward this war than we do and they are the ones with their life on the line! We better shape up our garbage and wake up to the real world or we could be in real trouble!

One last thing, what the H E double L is Utah State University doing showing “Force More Powerful”, an anti war based movie on Tax funded dollars by the people of the state of Utah on a public owned campus that is suppose to be teaching people math, engineering, physics and so on.? Sounds like a political position they are taking to me. We should cut their funding until they start actually teaching worth while subjects.

I support most of what you said, but I believe that Universities are about exchanging ideas. Their showing a movie should be viewed as free speech. We of course can always demand the same right and I have a wonderful movie to show about Iraq and Saddam. What do you think???

Sounds great to me! The only thing is, would they be fair and show your movie at USU? That is my problem with them. They have a "liberal only" viewpoint up at USU. They force this viewpoint on their students at the cost of the public. We are footing the bill to turn young people into a bunch of America haters.

Your movie about Iraq sounds like it would be a good one to see. What is the name of it?

I want to thank you for supporting what I believe is a good thing. I am not saying that WAR is a good thing I just believe that this was the best decision for our country. Yes, our soldiers do go over there and face a very dangerous mission but the odds are really good. They serve our country with pride and do a lot of great things.
