| Brokeback Mountain should be pulled form the theaters around here! It is a bad example for our kids. It also goes against our collective values as a society and Nation. This is yet another attempt by the left to desensitize and get people to be tolerant of Gay and lesbian acts. I believe in tolerance of the people who do these things, but I have no tolerance for the act and never will, ever! |

| I totally agree with Code 101. You would think that Hollywood would someday get the hint that most people want more good family movies, not all this TRASH! |

| I am in no way in support of this but I do not beleave it should be pulled from a theaters. If you think that it is a "Bad example" Then make sure they do not see it. If it is against your values then do not go see it if a whole lot of people do this then they are not as likely to make another movie like it because they will not make much money. |

I agree with code!!! It’s too bad that a movie like this gets such high reviews yet an excellent movie like The Passion and other movies with a good message are made fun of by the Hollywood Elite. |

I'm not suggesting that we pass a local law to ban this movie. That's stupid and not the right thing to do. I'm just saying that if the decision were up to myself as an owner of a privately owned theater, I would pull it. People can cry tolerance all they want. What it comes down to is simple. Will we as a society stand up for our convictions and what is right, or will we embrace things that we know are wrong in the name of trying to be politically correct? I also disagree with the sayings of a few, stating that someone who opposes this movie is intolerant. Maybe those who vocally oppose this movie are some of the few in our Country left, who are still willing to stand up for something that is right. Our obligation is to sustain them. |

| If you want to see a good example of intolerance by all of these so called "open-minded" people who support the movie Brokeback Mountain, go to the Sunday edition of the Herald Journal 2/12/06 and read the letters to the editor. |

| As I said in the HJ, it isn't about tolerance or being "open minded". It is about accepting evil and being called names if you don't. |

I agree with Mil-dot. If you think it is a morally wrong movie don't go see it. I saw it, there were a few parts that caught me by surprise, but the story was great. If you really are tollerant of others, then its not that big a deal.

I understand your point.
As for yourself and Mil-dot, would you also say the same for the new United 93 movie coming out? This movie is very well worth while, much more than Brokeback!
There are people calling for it to be taken out of the theaters because Heaven forbid, it might cause us to remember 9/11.
Just wondering what you thought about that.
Welcome to the site by the way!

Of course those of us who don't want to see the movie won't go see it. And just as you are trying to influence people to see it, those of us who don't want to see it are trying to influence people not to see it. Does this make us intolerant or does it make you intolerant? Why do you think I need to see a movie that goes against my faith to be considered 'tolerant' by you? Does this make you intolerant?
