I feel that the way the Mall treated the band from the Baptist Church was wrong. I sure hope that it wasn't because they are attempting to water down Christmas. If I find that they are, I will never shop there again.

I agree with you, I think that the diversity we find is a unique part of a growing culture.

Welcome to the forums Fondie32! The forums just became active yesterday. Thanks for your input. As I understand, the rest of the site is still being worked on but they wanted to open the forums for use.

I'm glad you feel the same way about the whole thing with the Mall. I want to make sure that our traditions are protected.

I agree! I herd about this. I'm not Baptist but that doesn't matter. Baptists, Catholics and Mormons are examples of Christians in our Country who are getting the shaft. Next year, I will not shop anywhere that refuses to recognize Christmas. They can have their beliefs but we can hurt them in the pocket.

There was more then one side to that incident.  For those who unfamiliar with it I will try to recall it.  Please correct any mistakes in my recollection.  There was a band performing Christmas songs at the mall.  The members were Baptist.  The mall claims that it asked the band to turn down their music as there were complaints.  They did not and were removed by security.  I believe that the band claimed not to have received the warnings.  I can understand both sides and my view depends on what really happened.
